TONIES figure - Under my bed 1
13 of the country's most famous singer/songwriters have come together to make a children's song record. Actually, it would be a reason to frown and glance over the newspaper, if it hadn't been for the fact that they have created such a magical album as "Under My Bed."
To put it bluntly: songwriters and children's songs go together perfectly. When Francesco Wilking ("Die höchst Eisenbahn") sings in the first song about the fairy who can only make tea but unfortunately can't fly, it's almost more laid-back than any of his other great songs. Gisbert zu Knyphausen insisted on playing his Rumpelstiltskin protest song "Immer muss ich alles sollen" every evening on his sold-out tour with the Kid-Kopphausen-Band in the spring. Anyone who experienced how the audience's skeptical smiles ended in thunderous applause after the announcement "Jetzt kommt ein Kinderlied" after the last chord had to know - this song is a hit. For children and adults. And when Olli Schulz played a demo of his song “Kommissar Ärmchen” on his radio show “Sanft und Sorgfältig” in May of this year, his Facebook page was overflowing with enthusiastic comments, and some talented illustrators even designed a drawing for the “super-smart octopus with the police badge”. It was clear that something was in the air.
It's hard to say which song on the album is the best, because the album is a mixed bag - in every way. Without knowing what songs their colleagues would make, each of the songwriters came up with a new theme with sleepwalking certainty.
