An iceberg washes up on the beach of Titiwu. There is an egg in the ice and out hatches: an Urmel! Wutz the pig becomes his mother and everyone helps so that the curious Urmel soon feels at home on her beautiful island: Ping the penguin, Wawa the monitor lizard, Schusch the shoebill and Seele-Fant the elephant seal, who always sings such sad songs.
