A great disaster has occurred in the pony world of Equestria: magic has been lost and fear dominates people's minds instead of friendship and harmony. Therefore, the pony species now live separately according to their species. Earth pony Sunny Starscout - a very idealistic and positive pony - continues to firmly believe in hope for the divided world. When she meets the unicorn Izzy Moonbow, who has lost her way in the world of the earth ponies, the unlikely duo quickly become friends. Since the other ponies are horrified by Izzy's appearance, the duo quickly flees and sets off on an adventurous journey. Their path takes them through strange, distant lands, always with the goal of bringing magic back to Equestria. They face their fears, try to make new friends out of old enemies and do not give up the belief that even the smallest ponies can make a big difference.
