Friends for Life – Part 1
table of contents
The annual puppy adoption day is taking place in Zoé's mother Sarah's veterinary clinic, where anyone interested is invited to get to know the young dogs over lemonade and cookies. Little Olive has fallen in love with a tiny, frightened husky puppy, but her father would prefer a brave dog that could protect Olive if necessary. Zoé then tells us how she found Lassie as a puppy, completely traumatized, under a rock during a forest fire. At the time, Lassie was just as skittish and scared as Buddy is now. To help her put the terrible experiences behind her, Zoé brought Lassie back into the fire zone. This put both of their lives in danger...
Description
Zoé and Harvey are helping out at the puppy adoption day. Little Olive's father wants a dog like Lassie. Zoé tells us what it was like when she found Lassie years ago. Lassie was still a small dog at the time and was completely frightened. She had fled from forest fires into a cave, where Zoé discovered her. That same day, Harvey moved to the valley with his mother. He became Zoé's best friend.
Friends for Life - Part 2
table of contents
Still in the animal clinic, Zoé tells how she and Lassie were surrounded by fire in the wilderness years ago and escaped to an abandoned logging camp in the hope of help from the air. Graham was actually already traveling with Harvey in a helicopter, but the thick clouds of smoke made it impossible to see anything on the ground. After Zoé tried in vain to make herself known, Lassie came up with the idea of honking the horn of an abandoned car. This meant that the two were rescued in time. While Zoé was still telling the story, Buddy, the little puppy, was frightened by a loud noise, fled in panic and found his life in danger at a waterfall. During the rescue operation, Olive threatened to fall into the water herself and the frightened Buddy turned out to be a savior in dire need. Description
Zoé remembers how she and little Lassie were trapped by the fire. While Harvey went to get help, little Lassie grew more worried about Zoé. With the courage and wisdom she showed back then, Lassie also helps Olive and her father. Because the puppy that Olive has taken to her heart has ended up in a dangerous situation due to a chain of circumstances."
