The stork finally brings Mrs. Jumbo the offspring she has longed for. But her beloved little elephant has one special feature that makes the circus animals and spectators laugh: his ears are much too big. Luckily, Dumbo has a good friend at his side in the form of Timotheus the mouse, who makes it clear to him that Dumbo is a very special elephant and helps him to become the star of the ring.
